1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ClassCover platform (classcover.ie and the ClassCover mobile application).
By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. About ClassCover
ClassCover is a platform that connects schools with substitute teachers. We facilitate communication and booking arrangements between schools and teachers.
3. Eligibility
- Teachers: Must be at least 18 years of age and provide accurate information
- Schools: Must be authorised representatives of recognised educational institutions in Ireland
4. Account Registration
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us of any unauthorised access to your account
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use the platform lawfully and respectfully
- Not misrepresent your identity or qualifications
- Not engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour
- Make reasonable efforts to honour confirmed bookings
6. User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (including profile information, photos, and descriptions).
By uploading content, you grant ClassCover a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute this content solely for operating and improving the platform.
7. Our Role
ClassCover is a platform that facilitates connections. We are not:
- An employer of teachers
- A party to arrangements between schools and teachers
- Responsible for the actions of other users
8. Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or availability of teachers/bookings.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any matter that cannot be excluded under Irish law.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
